Hi, everyone! I’m an artist living and working in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with my two sons, August and Henry, wife, Maggie, and my dog, Olaf. I work out of my barn studio where I’m often inspired by the rural landscape right out front.

I was fortunate enough to study at Temple's Tyler School of Art on both their Philadelphia and Rome, Italy campuses and in 2010, I received my BFA. Currently, I’m pursuing my Master’s of Art Education at Millersville University while joyfully employed as a High School Art Educator at J.P. McCaskey High School.

As an artist, I work to document the landscapes that surround me through direct observation painting, drawing and enjoying everyday life through the wonders of nature. My artwork is an opportunity to learn more about my natural surroundings - an expression of my interaction with nature not only as an observer but as a humble participant.

When I’m not in the studio or in the classroom, you can find me gardening, traveling with my family, renovating our old Victorian fixer upper, or fishing.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ben
